Our client is a well-established, national organisation going through a period of huge growth. They are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer on a temporary basis to support the team during a period of leave cover, with ongoing work available to assist in stabilising and cleaning up the AR ledger.

This is a hands-on, operational role suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working through manual allocations and engaging directly with customers to resolve payment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manually allocate incoming payments across a high-volume AR ledger
• Perform cash application and allocation work where automation is limited
• Actively follow up overdue accounts and chase payments via phone and email
• Investigate allocation discrepancies, short payments and unidentified receipts
• Liaise with customers to resolve payment queries with professionalism and empathy
• Support ledger clean-up and backlog reduction
•  Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and allocation issues

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven AR experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong manual allocation and cash application experience
• Confident communicator, comfortable on the phone chasing payments
• Customer-focused with strong empathy and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and resilient
