The Organisation
Our client is a highly regarded business with a growing presence nationally. With over 60 years of operations throughout Australia, and following a recent acquisition they enjoy a market leading position and are poised for further growth. As a result of this they are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to permanently join their finance team, who are based in Altona North with flexible working arrangements on offer. 

Position Description 
Working among a supportive team, with the view of being a key contact for the Accounts Receivable & Credit function, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties;
• Manage daily debtor collections, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts via phone, email and written correspondence
• Set up payment plans 
• Allocation and receipting of payments
• Reconciliations of accounts
• Investigate and handle payment discrepancies and disputes
• Generate reports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support efficient collections and positive customer experiences
• Other ad hoc duties to assist the broader team

Ideal Profile
With cultural fit a crucial factor, the ideal individual will have a dynamic, friendly, and ambitious approach to their work and career. Previous experience within a full function accounts receivable position is vital, and you will have ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment. The ideal individual will have demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, be adaptable and have a customer-focused approach. You will also have an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
