Sharp & Carter is proud to partner with a highly regarded provider in the funeral sector to appoint an Funeral Events Administrator and Arranger.

This is a meaningful and autonomous opportunity to join a close-knit team, working in a premium brand environment, providing compassionate support to families while contributing to the wider regional operations.

The Opportunity
You will be based at Salamander Bay, the northern-most location of a regional structure covering 16 sites from Woy Woy to Salamander Bay.

No prior funeral sector experience is required - full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Hours & Remuneration
  • Monday–Friday: 8:30am – 4:48pm
  • On-call roster shared across the regional team; weekend work only if families insist
  • On-call allowance paid for standby; minimum call-out hours paid at double time
  • Travel reimbursed if company vehicle unavailable
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide empathetic, professional support to families from initial contact to service completion
  • Arrange funeral services including venues, celebrants, coffins, vehicles, flowers, music, livestreaming, and press notices
  • Liaise with clergy, florists, newspapers, and other service providers
  • Complete all documentation, contracts, and payment processing accurately and efficiently
  • Clearly explain costs, payment terms, and service options to families
  • Maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced, sensitive environment
  • Contribute positively to a supportive, team-based culture
  • Assist with day-to-day operational tasks as required
  • Liaise closely with regional team for operational support and escalations
  • Travel across regional locations as required, with costs reimbursed
About You This role will suit someone from a service-driven or administration background, including hospitality, retail, community services, or customer-facing roles.
