The Opportunity
You will be based at Salamander Bay, the northern-most location of a regional structure covering 16 sites from Woy Woy to Salamander Bay.
No prior funeral sector experience is required - full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Hours & Remuneration
- Monday–Friday: 8:30am – 4:48pm
- On-call roster shared across the regional team; weekend work only if families insist
- On-call allowance paid for standby; minimum call-out hours paid at double time
- Travel reimbursed if company vehicle unavailable
- Provide empathetic, professional support to families from initial contact to service completion
- Arrange funeral services including venues, celebrants, coffins, vehicles, flowers, music, livestreaming, and press notices
- Liaise with clergy, florists, newspapers, and other service providers
- Complete all documentation, contracts, and payment processing accurately and efficiently
- Clearly explain costs, payment terms, and service options to families
- Maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced, sensitive environment
- Contribute positively to a supportive, team-based culture
- Assist with day-to-day operational tasks as required
- Liaise closely with regional team for operational support and escalations
- Travel across regional locations as required, with costs reimbursed
