The Role
Starting immediately, our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join them on a temporary basis for up to 10 weeks. As the Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a small qualified team in getting their books back up to date after a period of consecutive leave.
Duties & responsibilities may include;
- Daily bank reconciliations, including receipting of EFT's & direct debits
- Assistance with month end closing, BAS and payroll tax
- Managing all of accounts payable from processing of supplier invoices, preparing payment runs and statement reconciliations.
- Process monthly payroll, including supporting any queries and reporting
- Ad hoc support as requested by the finance manager
- Past experience in bookkeeping or assistant accounting in medium size organization
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
