They are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a 9-month contract, covering a maternity leave.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- End-to-End Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Administer weekly payroll for handling PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax compliance.
- Perform daily and month-end reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain accurate financial records in MYOB, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring timely issue resolution and clear communication on financial matters.
- Ad Hoc Financial Support: Provide support for various accounting tasks and assist with any other administrative duties as required.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or studying for CPA looked upon favourably.
- Proficiency in MYOB and intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility and a hands-on approach, with willingness to take on varied responsibilities.
