The Position
An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant at a well-established and large organisation with a high global reputation. This is a initial contract opportunity based in North Sydney. They are close to public transport and also offer 2 days Work-From-Home. As the successful candidate you will report to the Finance Manager. With a modern and professional environment and a friendly and supportive employee base, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with like-minded individuals in a large finance team.

The responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, invoices and expense reports.
  • Process weekly journals for each required legal entity- including direct debit, cheque, receipts, payroll, merchant fees, bank fees, and debt collection.
  • Process weekly clearing account journals to reflect cash received in bank.
  • Month end bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and post month end accruals and prepayments
  • Other ad-hoc tasks.
