About the Team:
The Court Technology Renewal team, within the Courts and Tribunals Digitisation Program, is responsible for the continual roll-out of audio visual (AV) technology in Queensland Courts to facilitate the operation of the courts. This in-court technology provides capabilities such as audio recording, evidence presentation, telephone and video conferencing. To provide a reliable asset base, the team endeavours to replace the AV equipment at the end of its useful life
About the role:
- Manage approved Audio Visual (AV) projects with accountability for project structure, progress and decision making, including problem resolution, escalation, and resource allocation.
- Oversee, coordinate, and monitor key aspects of project plans, including any connecting projects and ensure the key components of AV projects deliver agreed outcomes.
- Identify and manage effective stakeholder relations to ensure stakeholder and client expectations are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop plans and strategies and provide advice on how to manage potential project issues in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure audio visual projects are managed in accordance with an appropriate project management approach and methodologies to achieve consistent and quality project outcomes.
- Ensure all relevant project information is provided for inclusion in strategic planning processes
- Manage the financial aspects of AV projects including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, at times across multiple financial years.
- Monitor and report on project progress and measure benefits against project deliverables.
About You:
- Technical qualifications or experience in AV or VC technologies would be highly regarded however, not essential. Experience managing multiple projects at once and managing vendors is highly regarded
- Work independently, completing workload within established timeframes and adjusting priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Speak and negotiate effectively with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Read, comprehend and interpret technical and business documents.
- Write concise, logical and grammatically correct business documents.
- Contribute to workplace equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this position however certification in PRINCE2 Foundation and/or PRINCE2 Practitioner and MSP qualifications would be highly regarded. Intrastate travel is a requirement of this position, which may include over night stays 1-2 times per month.
