Sharp and Carter is assisting a Government Department source an Audio Visual System Analyst for an initial 12 month contract. As the AV System Analyst you will work closely with members of the AV Project team to support installed projects to transition to operational support and to provide subject matter expertise on installed systems. This role will have semi regular travel requirements across Queensland. this may include the occasional over night stay.
 
Roles responsibilities:
  • Prepare technical requirements documentation for upcoming projects based upon the established design briefs and the approved asset replacement plan. The documentation provides essential information as part of the Request for Quote provided to AV Supplier/s.
  • Review and endorse AV Supplier solution proposals, bills of materials, technical specifications and courtroom layout plans to ensure project deliverables are consistent and to the required quality standard.
  • Provide guidance to AV Support Officers undertaking user acceptance testing of newly completed installations.
  • Undertake regular review of the established AV designs, including researching alternative technologies that may deliver increased functionality to court users and/or reduce technology costs. Provide continuing market monitoring and analysis ensuring that relevant colleagues are notified of significant technological shifts within the AV space.
  • Undertake investigations and identify solutions to new and emerging technical projects using subject matter expertise to create recommendations and designs for approval.
  • Successfully undertake a range of assigned tasks in an environment of competing priorities, ensuring effective communications are maintained and expectations managed.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the I&CT Branch, external suppliers and vendors, and court users.
About You:
  • Technical qualifications or practical experience such as installation or engineering design, or qualifications in audio visual technology would be highly regarded.
  • Work independently, completing workload within established timeframes and adjusting priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
  • Speak and negotiate effectively with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
  • Work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Read, comprehend and interpret technical and business documents.
  • Write concise, logical and grammatically correct technical and business documents.
