As the Business Analyst you will be playing a critical role within the project delivery team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the GM of Property & Strategy and other key internal and external stakeholders to help drive successful delivery of big efficiency and transformation projects aligned to the WPA strategy.
This position is permanent and based in the Melbourne CBD office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Understanding and clearly articulating business problems and what we’re trying to achieve
- Defining project success factors
- Process mapping and understanding of key stakeholder matrix
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement / operational efficiencies
- Analysing and interpreting commercial data (e.g. Budgets, Forecasts)
- Gathering, validating and documenting business process and requirements
- Comprehensive assessments of key solutions eg existing or emerging technology, automation etc
- Understanding issues, risks and benefits associated with proposed solutions
- Testing and implementation of solutions
- Appropriate management of all project related documentation
Your Skills & Experience:
- 5 years+ as a Business Analyst
- Strong Business Analyst skills, knowledge and capability (Waterfall and Agile methods advantageous)
- Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth
- Experience and ability to influence the business decisions of Senior Leaders
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid commercial/financial analysis and management skills
- Proven experience working independently with multidisciplinary teams, meeting deadlines, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
- Relevant tertiary or post qualification degree
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst role
