We are seeking a proactive and analytical Business Analyst to join our Melbourne-based client. The successful candidate will provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making across operations, finance, and supply chain functions. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, evolving sector that combines traditional agriculture with modern business practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse financial, operational, and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, production, logistics, and marketing to gather and define business requirements.
  • Data cleaning and mining: identifying, validating, and removing errors and inconsistencies from raw data to improve quality and ensure it's suitable for analysis.
  • Develop business cases, models, dashboards, and reports to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems and digital tools.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting cycles.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on ad-hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ASX reporting standards and corporate governance frameworks where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or related field (Postgraduate qualifications desirable).
  • 2 - 5+ years’ experience in a business or data analyst role, preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, or a listed company environment.
  • Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of agricultural value chains and market dynamics is advantageous.
