The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role drives growth by converting inbound enquiries and building a proactive pipeline through targeted prospecting. As a Business Development Manager, you will consult with individual customers, sell novated leases, and engage with new and existing employer groups to educate, activate, and expand participation. Success requires a consultative sales approach, strong relationship building, and the ability to influence, negotiate, and consistently deliver outcomes.

Duties
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone, email, and digital channels, converting qualified enquiries into signed leases.
  • Qualify leads to understand needs, preferences, and financial situations, then tailor recommendations.
  • Proactively generate new opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold and warm outreach to prospective employer groups.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of employer group prospects, book meetings, and run presentations and lunch-and-learn sessions.
  • Educate decision makers and employees on novated leasing benefits and program rollout.
  • Drive employer group activation, onboarding, and ongoing engagement to maximise participation.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing employer partners to uncover additional opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, manage objections, and negotiate commercial terms within guidelines.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activity, and product changes.
  • Diligently update the CRM, forecast performance, and report on KPIs.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven sales experience in novated leasing or financial services, with success converting inbound leads and generating new business through prospecting.
  • Strong consultative selling capability and customer-first mindset.
  • Solid understanding of novated leasing principles and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and effective time management.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales productivity tools.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
