Position Description:

With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Credit Team Leader. Reporting into the State Manager your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Manage the collections and billing functions for your team
  • Lead end to end credit, collections and debt management activities through being hands on yourself 
  • Facilitate training and up-skilling within the team 
  • Implement new strategies to increase efficiencies 
  • Conduct continuous due diligence on credit processes
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyse and provide accurate creditors and debtors reporting
Key Responsibilities:
  • Full function credit control
  • Responsibility for a mixed ledger of clients including major and smaller accounts
  • Daily banking and allocations
  • Monthly reconciliations
  • Month-end reporting
  • Inbound queries
  • Customer refunds
  • Managing internal and external collection processes and partnering with a third party collections agency as well as maintaining that relationship.
  • Managing a team and dealing with escalations.
  • Offering support and guidance to junior members, utilising leadership experience and skills to reinforce a positive work culture.
  • Ad hoc duties as requested
The ideal candidate profile:
  • Experience in high volume collections and billings 
  • Experience within a previous or current leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service focus with a strong understanding of commercial practices
  • Large/ERP system experience
