We are partnering with an exciting Australian Design startup who are expanding their finance team. This company are headquartered in Australia and about to begin an international expansion. This is a newly created role with uncapped career growth potential.
As a Commercial Accountant, you will be a key driver for this international expansion. You will be working across all elements of accounting for this exciting growth period, including owning month end and having exposure to FP&A.
About the role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Preparation and review of month-end processing, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Consolidation of monthly, half-year, and year-end accounts and report packs.
- Gathering key data and trends to generate reports.
- Providing performance insights, analysis, and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support decision-making and drive business performance.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Ad hoc project work.
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Experience in a financial accounting role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience within a small and dynamic team will be considered highly advantageous.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
