Sharp & Carter has partnered with an iconic entertainment business to recruit a Commercial Analyst for their film distribution division.
The Role | Reporting to the Financial Controller
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide sales forecasts for new products based on comparative analysis
- Facilitate the monthly forecasting meetings
- In the pre-release and in-release period assist with tracking of business forecasts to support commercial planning processes (including post analysis of forecasts)
- Review profitability viability on any new product development
- Provide financial modelling and analysis to support business needs
- Ensure the division is meeting reporting and contractual obligations to external licensors
- Assist in budget processes – both financial year and calendar year budgets
- Monitor and analyse retailer inventory levels
- Complete position description available
- Tertiary qualifications in an Accounting or Commerce degree
- Prior analytical experience working in a product-based environment (e.g. retail, consumer goods, logistics, etc.)
- Experience working with data visualisation tools is highly desirable
- Experience with complex financial models is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills
