Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Analyst to provide strong analytical support, and partner with operational stakeholders. The role involves comprehensive commercial finance modelling, analysis, participation in commercial negotiations, and support for the broader commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting into an experienced Commercial Business Partner, and working closely with the General Manager of Operations, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing support with strategic, commercial, and financial matters
- Collaborate with the stakeholders to develop commercial scenarios relevant to sector strategies
- Provide advice on preferred outcomes from both business and client perspectives
- Engage in key commercial and client matters, understanding contract intricacies, and proposing commercial improvements
- Participate in commercial negotiations, including preparing commercial models and client-facing documents
- Work to quantify action plans and track progress, providing insights to improve margin at the contract level
- Challenge existing business models to identify efficiencies for improvement and growth
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Focus on continuous improvement in all process-driven activities
- Assist with retention and bid modeling, as well as other commercial modeling as required
- Perform other duties within your capabilities as required by your Supervisor or Manager
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in commercial finance, transaction advisory, or similar environment
- Experience in financial modeling and commercial review
- Degree qualified and/or studying towards CA/CPA
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
