About the role:
Partnering closely with the CFO, SLT, GM's this Commercial Analyst role is pivotal in driving profitable growth across the group. You’ll take ownership of trade spend and promotional investment analysis, working across pricing strategies, rebate structures, and revenue forecasting. The role will focus on improving visibility of margin drivers, enhancing the promotional planning process, and helping identify revenue leakage and commercial opportunities. You’ll also contribute to month-end reporting, P&L reviews, and forecasting cycles, while supporting the rollout of BI tools and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the analysis and optimisation of trade spend, rebates, and pricing initiatives
  • Developing tools to assess promotional ROI and recommending spend reallocation based on performance
  • Work with Management Team in leading excellence and continuous improvement in financial and commercial outcomes, reporting and insights
  • Contributing to month-end close processes and providing timely P&L reporting
  • Assisting with rolling forecasts, budgeting, and post-month reviews across key customer accounts
The ideal candidate:
You are a commercially focused analyst or management accountant, ideally making your second career move after completing your CPA or CA qualification (or actively working towards it). You have experience in FMCG or retail and enjoy diving into the details to understand margin drivers and help non-finance stakeholders make informed decisions. Skilled in Excel and BI tools, you’re confident handling large datasets and collaborating across teams in fast-paced environments.
