The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven Group Accountant to join the central finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Accounting Manager, this role plays a critical part in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, statutory reporting, and compliance across the group. This is a fantastic career move for a technically strong accountant looking to work in a complex group structure with exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports
  • Support year-end statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the audit process
  • Prepare technical accounting papers and assist with the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Maintain the integrity of the group general ledger and chart of accounts
  • Assist with preparation and review of tax effect accounting calculations
  • Support internal controls and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with business units to provide financial insights and support reporting accuracy
The Candidate
  • CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • Big 4 or mid-tier background highly regarded
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (e.g. AASB, IFRS)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI) advantageous
  • Motivated self-starter with a proactive approach and ability to meet deadlines
