The Commercial Finance Manger is a key leadership role partnering directly with senior management reporting into the GM. Managing a small team, this role will partner with a range of business units to provide performance reporting, decision support, analysis and insights to support the executive team in achieving their strategic ambitions. This is a hands on role responsible for the overall finance operations with a focus on cost to serve, product costing, new product development and commercial support for supply and sales contracts.
Duties
- Lead the finance team to drive function performance with full P&L ownership
- Preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ownership of the annual budgeting & forecasting process
- Providing monthly management reports and performance analysis
- Conduct product costing and cost to serve reviews
- New Product Development financial modelling
- Providing commercial support for key supplier/customer negotiation
- Oversight of company financial systems
- Providing commercial support to non-financial sales and operational stakeholders
- Providing regular performance versus budget updates to the GM & Directors
- Conducting regular margin analysis/revenue analysis etc.
- Review of major Capex projects
Skills and Experience
- CA / CPA / CIMA Qualified
- Finance leadership experience within a manufacturing / operational environment
- Excellent communication to liaise with a broad audience
- Results orientated and metric driven
- Strong analytics skills interpreting data and providing recommendations
- Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills
