An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager – Commercial to join a large and established Australian industrial and manufacturing organisation. This is a pivotal role within the finance leadership team, taking on full P&L accountability for a $1bn+ division and directly managing a team of four highly experienced State Analysts located nationally.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of four state-based finance analysts who partner closely with site leadership
- Full P&L ownership for a complex national division, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting and business insights
- Partner with state managers and senior executives to influence strategy and performance outcomes
- Manage cashflow, working capital, and commercial governance, including exposure to hedging and FX for international sales
- Oversee the monthly management cycle and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and insight
- Play a key role in business improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across finance and operations
- Support ongoing transformation projects and contribute to strategic initiatives to strengthen long-term performance
To succeed in this role, you will be a senior finance professional who combines strong technical foundations with commercial leadership experience. You will have the confidence and gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and lead an experienced team while maintaining a hands-on, business-focused approach.
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven background in commercial or operational finance in heavy industry, manufacturing, or industrial environments (essential).
- Strong track record of P&L management and business partnering with senior leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to coach, influence and engage a long-tenured and geographically dispersed team.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capability, with an appetite for change and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across multiple states and sites.
