About the role
Reporting to the CFO, the Commercial Finance Manager is a senior, hands-on role responsible for capital investment planning, budgeting and forecasting across the group. Partnering closely with the CFO, Directors and Executive Team, you will act as a trusted commercial advisor across finance, operations and development, while leading one direct report and supporting key strategic growth decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across capital, development and operations
- Own the capital investment and reinvestment framework, ensuring disciplined allocation and strong returns
- Deliver feasibility analysis and commercial evaluations for new store developments, upgrades and strategic initiatives
- Partner with Operations and Development teams to provide commercial insight, performance analysis and margin optimisation
- Prepare and present investment cases, forecasts and commercial insights to the CFO and Executive Team
- Support pricing, profitability and performance reviews to drive sustainable growth
- Partner with banking and funding stakeholders to support current and future growth plans
- Lead and develop one direct report and contribute to broader finance initiatives
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business
- CA or CPA qualified
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercially focused finance role, ideally within multi-site operations, Retail or Hospitality
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis and financial modelling
- Advanced Excel capability and ERP system experience
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence commercial decision-making
- Comfortable working autonomously in a hands-on, high-impact role
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging at Executive level
