The Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Divisional General Manager, this is a high-impact, hands-on role offering full commercial ownership of an >$600m regions operations . Acting as a trusted advisor and business partner to operational leadership, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Full ownership of financial and month-end reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clarity of results
  • Preparing monthly performance packs and presenting to national finance and executive leadership
  • Reviewing project milestones and capital spend tracking
  • Supporting tenders and bid submissions in conjunction with regional leaders
  • Developing insights through dashboards and commercial analysis to support decision-making
  • Driving continuous improvement and enabling transformation across a complex and fast-moving environment
The Successful Candidate
You’ll be a commercially minded finance professional with strong business partnering experience and the confidence to operate at both detail and strategic levels. You thrive in fast-paced, operational environments and bring a proactive, hands-on approach to solving complex challenges.
Key attributes include:
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Proven commercial finance experience, ideally within construction, civil, infrastructure, or contracting sectors
  • Strong month-end and financial reporting capability
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable with legacy systems and ERP
  • Collaborative, resilient and comfortable in a transforming environment
  • Confident communicator who can challenge and influence when needed
  • Open to experienced Finance Business Partners ready to step up
