The Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Divisional General Manager, this is a high-impact, hands-on role offering full commercial ownership of an >$600m regions operations . Acting as a trusted advisor and business partner to operational leadership, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Full ownership of financial and month-end reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clarity of results
- Preparing monthly performance packs and presenting to national finance and executive leadership
- Reviewing project milestones and capital spend tracking
- Supporting tenders and bid submissions in conjunction with regional leaders
- Developing insights through dashboards and commercial analysis to support decision-making
- Driving continuous improvement and enabling transformation across a complex and fast-moving environment
You’ll be a commercially minded finance professional with strong business partnering experience and the confidence to operate at both detail and strategic levels. You thrive in fast-paced, operational environments and bring a proactive, hands-on approach to solving complex challenges.
Key attributes include:
- CA/CPA qualification
- Proven commercial finance experience, ideally within construction, civil, infrastructure, or contracting sectors
- Strong month-end and financial reporting capability
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders
- Comfortable with legacy systems and ERP
- Collaborative, resilient and comfortable in a transforming environment
- Confident communicator who can challenge and influence when needed
- Open to experienced Finance Business Partners ready to step up
