The Company
 
A highly successful and growing Non for Profit business based in Perth's southern suburbs, is looking to appoint a confident and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join the team initially on a 3 month contract with a view to permanency.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a collaborative and fast-paced business where you'll be involved in a variety of accounting activities across the groups entities. The role offers plenty of scope for ownership, process improvement, team management, and board exposure.  
 
The Role
As the Finance Manager with 4 direct reports, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting across the organisation. You’ll manage key month-end processes, maintain intercompany accounts, and ensure the smooth operation of fixed asset accounting and capital tracking. You’ll also play a key part in developing and documenting internal procedures, helping to drive operational efficiency and strong financial governance.
 
Key Duties Will Include:
  • Lead Year End and month-end processes, and be the point of contact for the Auditors. 
  • Ensure financial reporting is in line with AASB/IFRS and taxation standards
  • Prepare and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
  • Drive automation via tools such as Cognos and Power BI
  • Use ERP systems for financial operations
  • Maintain controls to ensure data accuracy and fraud prevention
  • Collaborate with the CEO and operational leaders to support decision-making
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and executive-level presentations as required
  • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Contribute to a high-performance, values-driven team culture
What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar financial or leadership accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of month-end processes and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Exposure to external audits and an understanding of group reporting structures
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, wholesale, or mining industries is highly desired.  
  • Fully qualified (CA/CPA) is essential. 
You’ll Also Need To Be:
  • Hands-on and solutions-focused, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, with the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working across teams and building relationships
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using financial systems (ERP experience is a bonus) and Power BI reporting.
