The Company
Our client is an iconic market leading multinational organisation. Based in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, they are seeking a product costing/management accountant to join their team immediately on a temp-to-perm basis.

The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the main responsibility of this role will be to track, analyse and report on the financial costing of the company's product lines and to project and forecast the impact of potential influxes and declines in product demand. 

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:

- Produce accurate and timely monthly accounts and commentaries
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting of Material Usage & Purchase Price Variance (MUV & PPV). (Both Month & YTD)
- Support and provide detailed analysis relating to Direct Labor, Monthly Full Time. Fixed Term and Casual Employees, and WIP.
- Plan/ Latest Best Estimates Vs Actual Production Throughput and Variance Forecasts.
- Analyse monthly results including variances against budget, forecasts and previous estimates
- New and existing product costing 
- Prepare the annual budget, produce quarterly re-forecast and provide commentary
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and adequately supported;
- Support capital project preparation;

The Successful Candidate
- You will possess previous cost accounting experience in a large Retail, Manufacturing or FMCG business focusing on product costing
- Advanced knowledge of an ERP System essential, SAP preferred
- Strong communication / analytical skills
- Ability to business partner with a variety of stakeholders
