We’re seeking a highly creative and detail-driven Art Director to lead the visual direction of our product packaging and support the creative production of photography across our brands.
This role is responsible for shaping how our products appear on-shelf and online — ensuring every touchpoint reflects our brand's quality and story.
You’ll own the end-to-end creative process for packaging — from concept to execution — and oversee styled product photography that complements and enhances our visual identity across campaigns, digital, and retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Direction & Design Leadership
- Lead the creative direction of packaging across multiple brands, ensuring visual consistency, brand alignment, and commercial appeal.
- Translate marketing and product objectives into clear packaging design briefs and visual frameworks.
- Guide and mentor four graphic designers through concept development, layout design, feature hierarchy, and artwork finalisation.
- Collaborate with product managers, marketers, and suppliers to ensure packaging aligns with brand tone, retail requirements, and technical constraints.
- Oversee packaging approvals and maintain visual standards across die lines, features, icons, and claims.
- Develop the visual style for product and lifestyle imagery that supports packaging and campaign needs.
- Create mood boards, styling guides, and shot plans aligned with packaging and marketing objectives.
- Lead on-set art direction, including styling, prop sourcing, and scene composition.
- Coordinate shoot logistics: locations, models, photographers, and product preparation.
- Ensure imagery is consistent across channels and is delivered ready for use in packaging, ecommerce, and advertising.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and design teams to ensure a cohesive visual approach across packaging and photography.
- Act as the creative lead for packaging and photography projects — balancing vision with timelines, budgets, and commercial outcomes.
- Organise and manage asset libraries, ensuring all deliverables are properly archived and labelled for use across digital, retail, and internal needs.
- 4–6 years in a packaging design, art direction, or creative leadership role (FMCG or consumer goods experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of packaging structure, messaging hierarchy, and retail impact
- Experience creating and guiding brand-aligned packaging for physical products
- Proven ability to direct styled product photography and manage photoshoots
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong project management and communication skills, with attention to detail and deadlines
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a car for shoot days and prop sourcing
