We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Enterprise Risk Management to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evolution of a comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the organisation effectively identifies, assesses, mitigates, and monitors both operational and strategic risks, while embedding a strong risk culture across the business. The responsibility of your role will include but not be limited to the following.
- Design, implement and continuously enhance the enterprise risk management framework, policies, systems and processes
- Provide expert risk advice and insights to Executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders
- Oversee organisation-wide risk identification, assessment and reporting processes
- Prepare high-quality risk reports for Executive, Board and key governance committees
- Analyse divisional and project risk profiles to inform enterprise-level risk exposure
- Maintain and enhance risk management systems and data integrity
- Lead and support risk-related training, education and capability uplift across the organisation
- Engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders to drive best-practice risk management outcomes
The Candidate
Our client is seeking an experienced risk professional with a strong track record of leading enterprise risk functions in complex environments. You bring a strategic mindset, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate risk into meaningful business insights. Below are some additional skills and experience that will be required.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise risk management frameworks
- Strong background across risk, assurance, compliance, audit, and/or governance practices
- Proven experience working with senior executives, boards and committees
- Highly developed analytical, reporting and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong understanding of risk methodologies, internal controls and assurance processes
- Professional certifications in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance or similar
