Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dynamics 365 Business Central Support Consultant to join our team. The role will focus on providing functional and technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) environment. This consultant will be responsible for troubleshooting system issues, optimizing processes, providing user training, and ensuring the ERP system meets the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first and second-level support to users of Dynamics 365 Business Central, diagnosing and resolving system issues in a timely manner.
- User Training & Documentation: Train end-users on the effective use of Business Central and create user guides, manuals, and documentation for reference.
- Process Improvement & Optimization: Identify areas where Business Central can be optimized to improve efficiency in business processes and workflows. Work with internal teams to implement these improvements.
- Data Management & Reporting: Support users with reporting needs and ensure accurate data input/output. Assist in creating and maintaining custom reports and dashboards.
- System Configuration & Customization: Configure system settings, workflows, and fields within Dynamics 365 BC as needed, ensuring alignment with business needs. Liaise with external vendors for further system customizations or third-party integrations.
- User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide ongoing support to business users, troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day queries or issues, and escalating more complex issues to appropriate teams.
- Upgrades & Patching: Manage and support system updates, upgrades, and patches for Dynamics 365 Business Central, working closely with vendors and internal IT teams to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure that all business processes, as configured in Business Central, comply with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain data security and user access controls within the system.
- Experience: Minimum 1- 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 Business Central modules (e.g., Finance, Inventory, Sales, Purchase, Manufacturing). Experience in basic system configuration, workflows, and customizations.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with non-technical users and provide clear instructions. Ability to document technical processes.
- ERP System Knowledge: Understanding of ERP principles and processes, including finance, supply chain, and operations.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, IT, and third-party vendors.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
