About the Role
We are seeking an experienced E&I Engineer on a 12-month contract to provide hands-on engineering support. This role focuses on reliability-centred maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.
As the E&I Engineer, you will:
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and control issues.
- Develop and optimise maintenance strategies, life plans, and preventative maintenance routines.
- Mentor and coach E&I technicians to ensure safe and effective practices.
- Support minor and capital projects, including electrical and instrumentation design work, ensuring compliance with site standards.
- Participate in daily Operations, Maintenance & Technical meetings to prioritise and resolve issues.
- Manage changes through a rigorous Management of Change (MoC) process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Reliability, Project Management, and external vendors to deliver technical solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Major Hazard Facility (oil & gas preferred, or any industry with high-value assets).
- Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical Systems.
- Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ) or eligible for chartered status.
- Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
