We're partnering with a major Australian food manufacturing business. This site is investing heavily in plant capability, automation and production growth. As part of this expansion, a newly created Project Engineer role has been established to deliver site upgrades, new equipment installations and performance improvement initiatives.
This is a hands on role where you will influence how a large scale production facility operates - improving output, efficiency, and reliablity while delivering capital projects from concept through to commissioning.
The site has multiple processing and packaging areas. Complex utilities infrastructure. An established, long-tenured workforce.
This is based in a rural town in QLD - about 1-2 hours West of Brisbane CBD.
The Role
- Manage capital projects from business case through to commissioning - projects include plant upgrades, production line improvements etc.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, throughput and operational performance.
- Support business cases and cost-benefit analysis for improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate contractors, OEM suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting and handover of new systems.
- Degree in Engineering, a Trade or relevant technical background preferred
- Demonstrated experience delivering CapEx projects within manufacturing, processing or similar (either from the manufacturer itself or from the equipment supplier)
- Experience with commissioning new plant equipment
- Understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Strong stakeholder management skills
