Why Should You Apply?
This is a Mechatronics Service & Support role within a low volume, custom bespoke manufacturing business where every project is unique and technically complex. You’ll play a key role in shaping and building the operational backbone of a growing Service & Support function.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of mechanical design, automation and advanced motion control — supporting highly specialised equipment long after it leaves the workshop.
Why Apply?
- Work on unique, low-volume custom-built systems
- Combine mechanical design with PLC & motion troubleshooting
- Exposure to international projects and site support
As a Mechatronics Support Engineer, you’ll provide mechanical and controls engineering support across new and existing installations. You’ll investigate faults, conduct root cause analysis, modify designs in SolidWorks, and troubleshoot PLC and motion control systems to ensure systems operate safely and reliably.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, project teams and technicians, while also supporting clients remotely and occasionally on-site for commissioning or high-priority issues.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Strong SolidWorks modelling & drafting capability
- Experience with PLC platforms (Beckhoff and/or Allen Bradley)
- Exposure to servo, electric or hydraulic motion systems
- Structured problem-solver with strong communication skills
