Sharp and Carter are currently accepting applications for an experienced Enterprise Architecture  to join a major public sector organisation undergoing significant digital transformation. This is a strategic contractor role that will shape and guide the delivery of technology and service portfolios across a large, complex, and federated environment.
About the Role In this role, you will:
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure digital services are sustainable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of service architectures focused on value delivery, transparency, agility, and innovation.
  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders across government, health service providers, and industry to drive service portfolio optimisation.
  • Influence and contribute to enterprise architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps that underpin system-wide reform.
  • Play a key role in supporting a dynamic transformation program within a complex service delivery environment.
This role requires a balance of strategic vision, stakeholder engagement, and deep technical expertise to ensure services deliver maximum value in a fast-evolving context.
Key Requirements We are seeking candidates with:
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and design within large, complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic direction for sustainable, fit-for-purpose digital services.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, communication, and influencing across diverse groups.
  • Strong experience in ICT service delivery in a service provider or commercially oriented organisation.
  • Ability to develop and review enterprise architecture strategies, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Deep understanding of public sector operations, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong strategic planning capability to advocate for reform and drive adoption of new services.
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both tactical and strategic demands.
