This role is a maternity leave cover on a one year Fixed Term Contract.
With a big focus on collaboration, this role involves actively encouraging the business to explore growth prospects and enhance processes, achieve savings goals, and drive business improvement initiatives spanning from working capital to site processes. In addition to fulfilling standard month-end accounting tasks and reporting responsibilities, there is a big focus on delivering local budgets, forecasts, and manage contract variations and escalations. It represents a multifaceted combination of accounting and commercial functions, embodying a genuine Finance Business Partner role.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate and present accurate solutions to internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate reporting of critical information for informed decision-making
- Address financial or process discrepancies
- Assist Commercial functions with general accounting tasks and budgetary support
- Streamline contract-to-invoicing processes and create sustainable monitoring tools
- Timely preparation of accurate financial reports in adherence to deadlines
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments, resolving issues
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Generate, review, analyze, and post journals for monthly profit and loss statements
- Preparation of timely & accurate financial reports
Experience:
- Post qualification experience – minimum 3 - 5 years.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience working within an Accounting Team.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders such as Commercial teams, Site and Operations Teams, Transactional Finance Team and teams across different geographies.
- Remote Site Experience would be desirable but not essential.
