Our client is a market leader, producer and distributor of FMCG products. Based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne, they are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team immediately.
The Role
This position will partner closely with the General Manager of Australia / NZ supporting the business in delivery of financial information and execution of business strategies.
On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to stakeholders, identifying potential upsides/downsides and explaining variances between actual results and budgets.
- Educate business partners on interpreting financial results and their implications for business strategies.
- Support the month-end closing process, including accruals verification, input on business-specific reserves, and variance analyses.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports to monitor, forecast, and report on rates of return, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons.
- Support ad hoc projects and requests, proactively identifying and executing cost savings/avoidance and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor department expenses and capital budgeting through tracking and reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Develop strong business partnerships with cross-functional teams, including the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance teams.
- Prior experience in a Finance Business Partner or Finance Analyst role in a medium-large size Retail, Manufacturing or FMCG business
- Product costing experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
- Advanced knowledge of an ERP System essential, SAP preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
