Our client, a leader within the asset management sector is seeking a talented, Finance business partner to join their team. With a management accounting and commercial focus, this role will provide critical financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making across the business. The FBP will work closely with various stakeholders to drive performance, improve processes, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse financial performance, budgets, and forecasts
- Provide detailed insights into revenue, cost drivers, and profitability
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
- Partner with operational teams to optimize financial performance
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend areas for improvement
- Assist with financial modelling, business cases, and ad-hoc analysis
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support business growth
- Assist the wider finance function throughout the month/year end reporting processes.
- Manage/support the yearly audit process, providing response to external audit queries and ad hoc requests.
- Contribute to the regular preparation of board reports and packs.
- Support the financial controller and mentor junior staff members.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CA/CPA fully qualified.
- 5 + years of experience within a chartered accounting firm - ideally Mid-Tier or Big 4. This is a great opportunity for a first or second mover.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Advanced Excel skills: ability to produce pivot tables and conduct VLOOKUP’s
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines
