The Role
Reporting directly to Head of Business Partnering, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational advice to enable informed business decision making and help drive improvement in financial performance. You will also partner and coach senior business leaders and the wider Finance team to enable better decision making, maximise performance and manage cost. 
  
This position is pivotal to the management and success of organisation driving a step change in identifying new cost efficiency opportunities and benchmarking operational performance and the finance business partnering services will comprise monthly results analysis, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, scenario analysis, business case support and cost analysis.  The duties of your role will include but not be limited to the following.

  • Develop strong relationships with senior management to embed financial analysis and decision support within all areas of the business
  • Present analysis to Executive General Managers and work with them to identify opportunities and corrective actions.
  • Manage the operating budget and forecasting process
  • Review and challenge the business on key budget assumptions
  • Proactively streamline planning and key business processes
  • Manage the submission of the budget
  • Identify and track key underlying performance trends and risks areas including maintaining suitable financial models
  • Build a strong understanding of the fixed and variable costs
  • Track performance against strategic goals, business plans and budgets
  • Undertake scenario modeling and “what if” analysis and provide financial modeling input into business cases for initiatives.
  • Review expenditure (Opex and Capex) and benefit realization plans and support implementation with project managers and business owners.
  • General month end procedures to identify accruals and prepayments in accordance with the accounting month end close process.
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects as they arise
  
The Candidate
Ideally CA or CPA qualified, this role demands excellent communication skills, proven stakeholder management experience and a desire to improve existing analysis tools and reporting. The successful candidate will have proven business analysis or management accounting experience gained in a medium to large corporate ideally within a fast-paced environment. Candidates with a finance business partnering background from financial services or NFP will be advantageous but it is not essential.
