About the role:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Controller on an immediate notice has arisen within a Software and SaaS organisaiton. This role is for someone who is forward thinking and is confident driving change. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of month end tasks, and maintaining accurate and compliant financial records. This is a great opportunity for someone who can work autonomously and is confident running end to processes in a Finance Manager position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team in both Australia and Canada to provide strategic support, facilitate change management, drive transformation and implement efficiency improvements.
- Oversee all financial activities, including bookkeeping, payroll, AP, AR, monthly reporting, year-end reporting, and tax compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in financial reporting framework and company policies.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to effectively manage and develop the Finance team as it expands.
- Drive the planning and budgeting process, as well as ongoing structuring decisions regarding international expansion and intercompany arrangements.
- Work alongside Chief Growth Officer to refine pricing and margin models.
- Engage and liaise with key third party stakeholders including lawyers, bank managers, insurance brokers, external auditors etc.
- Assistance with Board reporting, minuting Board meetings and ongoing maintenance of corporate governance framework.
- Strive towards best practice with implementation, delivery and management of finance systems and reporting tools.
- CA/CPA Qualified.
- Experience as a Finance Manager or Finance Controller ideally working for a SaaS / Software Business.
- Up to 6 years of experience in a Senior Finance role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
