This opportunity is a 15-month fixed term contract with opportunity to move within the business.

About the role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this hands-on leadership position will see you take full ownership of group-wide accounting and tax consolidation, manage the GL close across in-house and outsourced teams, and lead governance of the Chart of Accounts and key financial systems. You'll work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders and mentor a capable team, driving process optimisation and ensuring compliance across all reporting layers.

Duties

• Lead the delivery of accurate, timely group financials – statutory, management and tax
• Own the GL close process across internal and outsourced finance teams
• Govern the Chart of Accounts and financial reporting hierarchies
• Manage the BlackLine platform and drive best-practice reconciliations
• Oversee system configuration and control for accounting & tax consolidation
• Deliver financial governance, compliance and process improvement initiatives
• Support external audit, regulatory tax submissions, and technical accounting queries
• Lead, coach and mentor a high-performing team of six with a focus on capability uplift
• Partner with Development, Investment Management and FP&A teams on finance transformation initiatives

Skills and Experience

• CA / CPA Qualified
• 10+ years of experience in group accounting, consolidation or financial control
• Big 4 trained with post-practice experience in a listed or large corporate environment
• Deep understanding of IFRS, accounting systems and tax reporting
• Experience working in property, real estate or complex investment structures is advantageous
• Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
• Process improvement mindset with the ability to lead systems optimisation initiatives
