The Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the financial accounting & reporting functions, as well as leading the AP/AR teams, both on-shore and off-shore. You will also be responsible for monthly financials, statutory, Tax and Head Office reporting requirements. The duties of your role will include but not be limited to the following.
- Lead the financial accounting and AP/AR functions of 5
- Coordination and review of monthly performance pack
- Lead the production of monthly profit and loss reports
- Reporting and Analysis on Actuals vs Budget Investment on Capital Projects
- Identify opportunities and implement improvements in processes of financial accounting to achieve efficiencies
- Identify and drive change management initiatives, processes, programs, and strategies for APAC, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory, policy and report on statutory and taxation requirements as appropriate (including annual accounts, audits, BAS, PAYG/PAYE instalments, superannuation, Workers Compensation, FBT and GST reporting) and filing of annual returns
- Ensure accurate and prompt reconciliation of all GL accounts
- Maintenance of GL accounts
- Ad-hoc duties or finance team projects as required
The Candidate:
Collegial in your style, you will play an integral role in driving the high-performance culture of the finance function. You will be technically strong finance professional with exceptional communication skills that will compliment your talent for interpreting and articulating complex financial information. Previous experience Retail, FMCG or Hospitality environments will be advantageous but not essential.
Other requirements include:
- Business/Commerce Degree (Accounting major preferred)
- Professional qualifications (CA/CPA)
- An upbringing in a Chartered (Audit) environment
- Experience in building and managing a team in multiple locations, both on-shore and off-shore
