The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the business, supporting the Financial Controller across the Australia and New Zealand operations. This role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and the development of process improvements. You will also oversee a small team, drive efficiency in financial systems, and act as a trusted business partner across the organisation.
  
Responsibilities
  • Lead timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end, year-end, budget, and forecast submissions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and tax consultants; oversee audits and tax compliance for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Oversee accounting operations, cash flow management, and statutory obligations.
  • Partner with senior management and operational leaders to deliver financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and best practice accounting compliance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of four to achieve key deadlines and KPIs.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including financial modelling, property forecasting, and M&A activities.
The Candidate
  • CA/CPA qualified with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a mid-to-large corporate environment (retail, travel, tourism, or services industry highly regarded, but not essential).
  • Strong technical expertise in audit, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Proven experience in managing audits, financial statements, and budgeting processes.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
