The Organisation:
A growing & reputable business based in Melbourne Inner Eastern Suburbs is looking for a Finance manager to lead their growing Finance function.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will lead a small finance team (three staff) and take ownership of the company’s financial management and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing team oversight with involvement in day-to-day operations. You’ll oversee all aspects of finance, including statutory and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, tax compliance, and business partnering with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts
  • Oversight of statutory reporting, compliance, and liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Management of cashflow, working capital, and CAPEX for billboard site investments
  • Maintenance of general ledger, reconciliations, and fixed asset registers
  • Preparation of BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns, and coordination with external accountants
  • Oversight and mentoring of the finance team (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll)
  • Implementation of process improvements and financial controls
  • Partnering with the Managing Director and Operations team to provide insights and support commercial decisions
  • Financial analysis of billboard site performance and investment opportunities
The Ideal Candidate:
CA or CPA qualified with at least 6 years’ experience across financial and management accounting, including experience leading or mentoring a small team. You’ll have strong technical grounding, combined with commercial acumen and the confidence to operate in a fast-moving, growing business.

  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical and commercially minded with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a small team environment
  • Confident, proactive, and comfortable partnering with senior leadership
