Our client is a growing construction business operating across multiple entities, with a strong platform for continued expansion.

The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Finance Manager will take a hands-on role in steering financial performance while ensuring strong governance. You will lead month-end, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow, manage core finance operations (AP/AR, payroll, debtor management), and drive high-quality reporting for executives and the board. The role also oversees compliance obligations and intercompany activities across a multi-entity structure.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver accurate, timely month-end reporting, analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management to support business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation) and governance requirements.
  • Manage intercompany invoicing, shared services allocations and multi-entity structures.
  • Oversee AP/AR, payroll and debtor management with strong process controls.
  • Prepare high-quality board and management reporting packs.
  • Liaise with external accountants on year-end accounts, tax and FBT returns.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including invoicing and financial reporting.
  • Drive process and systems improvements across the finance function.
The Ideal Candidate
You are degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA/CA highly regarded) with proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant. You bring strong technical capability, a hands-on approach and clear communication skills, with the ability to partner across the business and lead through change.
Key skills and attributes:
  • Demonstrated experience across month-end, budgeting/forecasting, cash flow and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Track record managing AP/AR, payroll and debtor management in a multi-entity environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
  • Highly organised; able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
