The Company and the Role
Our client is an ASX-listed organisation that is currently undergoing a period of transformation and ERP uplift. This contract role Finance Manager role has been created to provide senior-level finance support during peak reporting and transformation activity, offering exposure to a dynamic, internationally connected finance function. This position suits a technically strong Finance Manager or Financial Reporting Manager who is comfortable operating autonomously, building solutions, and providing overflow capacity at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end financial and statutory reporting, including preparation and review of half-year accounts, supporting schedules, disclosures, and audit deliverables
- Act as the senior technical accounting lead during peak reporting periods, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Provide hands-on support for acquisition accounting activities, including transaction analysis, PPA support, and post-acquisition accounting (where required)
- Independently design, rebuild, and enhance finance processes, templates, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency, consistency, and control
- Provide day-to-day technical accounting support, including complex journals, reconciliations, issue resolution, and review of outputs
- Support finance operations during ERP implementation, acting as overflow capacity and ensuring continuity of reporting and controls
- Coordinate, review, and support deliverables from offshore finance teams, providing clear guidance and quality oversight
About You
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience at Finance Manager or Financial Reporting Manager level
- Strong background managing group consolidations across ~10 entities
- Demonstrated experience in multi-currency environments, ideally across Asia, ANZ, and Middle East regions
- Strong consolidation experience
- Experience with statutory reporting under tight deadlines
- ASX reporting exposure preferred, including half-year and year-end reporting processes
- Comfortable working autonomously in a contract environment, building processes and templates rather than inheriting mature frameworks
- Reliable, self-directed operator who can add senior-level capacity immediately without close supervision
