Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and reliable reporting across the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close, journals, accruals, and balance sheet integrity
- Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow updates
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, GST, payroll tax, etc.)
- Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations, including AP, AR, payroll oversight, and reconciliations
- Provide practical, hands-on support to the broader administration team as needed
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
- Strong technical accounting skills with a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
- Comfortable working onsite in a small to mid-sized organisation
- Able to step in quickly, work autonomously, and add value from day one
- Experience in hospitality, leisure, clubs, or member-based organisations will be highly regarded
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
