An established and highly regarded independent school in Melbourne’s south-east is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its financial operations and support the ongoing growth and sustainability of the school.

The Role:
Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Principal and Board, the Finance Manager is responsible for the effective management of the College’s financial function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversight of all financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and cash flow management
- Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans
- Delivery of timely and accurate monthly management reports to senior leadership and the Board
- Preparation of statutory accounts and coordination of the annual external audit
- Management of taxation obligations, compliance and regulatory reporting
- Oversight of financial controls, risk management and insurance
- Leadership, mentoring and development of the finance team
Candidate:
You are a qualified CA or CPA with demonstrated experience in a finance leadership role within a complex organisation. You bring strong technical capability, sound judgement and the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and reporting capability
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial leaders
- A collaborative and steady leadership style
- The capacity to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
