Our client is a highly respected family office based in Melbourne, managing a diverse portfolio of private and listed investments across multiple sectors.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the group’s consolidated financial position, overseeing transactional finance, and leading compliance and reporting across a range of investment entities. This role combines technical rigour with commercial insight, supporting strategic decision-making and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Oversight of accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Maintenance of general ledgers, journals, and asset registers across group entities
- Preparation of board packs, management reports, and cash flow statements
- Tax compliance including BAS, IAS, FBT, and income tax workpapers
- Coordination of audit, governance, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Support for investment transactions, settlements, and portfolio reporting
- Continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and processes
You are a degree-qualified accounting or finance professional, ideally CA/CPA qualified (or working toward it), with a strong grounding in financial and management accounting, and are eager to grow your impact within a complex, fast-paced setting.
