Our client, a provider to the resource sector, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer who will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of their financial processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
You will be working in a small team of 3, focusing on;
- Handling invoice queries, and collecting of overdue accounts outside of credit terms
- Processing credit applications, raising credit notes, negotiating payment terms
- Processing of supplier invoices, preparing payment runs and statement reconciliations
- Managing suppliers data and creating of new suppliers
- Daily bank reconciliations including receipting of cheques, EFT, and direct debits
- Managing credit card expenses including issuing, cancelling and reconciling
- Managing end to end payroll from setting up new employees, changes, terminations, bonuses, superannuation and reporting
- Assist with basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances and discrepancies
- Assist with month end procedures and journal posting
Role Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
