Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will support the efficient delivery of financial services, including accounts receivable, bank receipting, debt management and accounts payable. The role requires a high level of accuracy, professionalism and the ability to work collaboratively within a structured finance environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys transactional finance work, problem-solving and contributing to continuous improvement while delivering quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with financial management standards, policies and audit requirements
- Process and allocate bank receipts in accordance with established procedures
- Support accounts receivable functions, including debt management and journal processing
- Provide accounts payable support, including invoice processing
- Assist with reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and support resolution activities
- Respond to routine finance enquiries and provide clear, timely advice to stakeholders
- Contribute to a professional, collaborative team environment with a focus on service quality and continuous improvement
- Meet deadlines by effectively organising and prioritising workloads
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable or general finance administration
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and multitask effectively
- Sound problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ethical behaviour, professionalism and ongoing learning
