The Organisation

Our client is a market leader in their industry, and they offer a dynamic and flexible working environment. An opportunity for an experienced Finance Operations Manager is currently available on a permanent basis. This role is open to full-time or part time applicants (4 days per week), with a focus on managing the payroll function. The successful candidate will be overseeing three staff members, and work closely with the wider finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual. 
  

Position Description

Reporting directly into the Corporate Finance Manager and working as part of a team, your daily tasks will include the following:
  • Mentoring team of three including accounts payable and payroll staff
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Oversee payroll of 450+ employees across multiple states
  • Oversee external payroll requirements 
  • Regular review of long service leave requirements 
  • Ensure all processes are in place to ensure all accounts payable  transaction are accurately processed 
  • Support & drive finance team projects
  • Completing month end reconciliations
  • Identify team development needs
  • Other tasks as directed by the Corporate Finance Manager 

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven management experience in a similar Team Leader role along with the following attributes:
  • Proven experience managing operational finance teams
  • Sound knowledge of current employment legislation, taxation and superannuation obligations 
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Proactive and autonomous 
  • Possess ability to identify and develop strategic goals
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • The ability to liaise with a multitude of stakeholders
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
