The Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers a diverse mix of responsibilities across financial control, tax compliance, foreign currency transactions, and manufacturing cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of month-end journals, reconciliations, and reporting packs.
- BAS preparation and lodgement, payroll tax, and superannuation compliance.
- Intercompany accounting, including foreign currency transactions and reconciliations.
- Support for capex management, fixed asset registers, and year-end stocktakes.
- Manufacturing job costing and variance analysis.
- Provide data and insights to support budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with internal/external audits and drive process improvements.
Your Profile
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced multinational corporate.
- CA/CPA qualified, or actively working towards completion.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with ATO requirements (BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, super).
- Experience with intercompany and foreign exchange transactions highly regarded.
- Advanced Excel skills.
