Our client, a reputable global business, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team immediately on a 6-month contract. Due to a migration to SAP, there is a backlog of reconciliations. This role requires a proactive, analytical problem-solver who can hit the ground running and help streamline processes.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Shared Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end reconciliations to clear backlog
- Posting journals and handling AP/AR transactions
- Assisting with SAP migration and data accuracy
- Bank and cash reconciliations
- Ensuring the business is fully reconciled by year-end
- Utilising Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis
- Applying strong accounting fundamentals
- Opportunity to gain SAP experience in a global company
- Great stepping stone for Assistant Accountants ready to transition into a Financial Accountant role
- Work in a supportive team with hands-on learning opportunities
- Accounting qualification (or working towards CPA)
- SAP experience advantageous
- Strong experience in reconciliations, transactional accounting, and journal posting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Ability to hit the ground running and manage workload efficiently
- Working Holiday Visa (WHV) candidates accepted
