Due to ongoing growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join their dynamic team.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, compliance requirements, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role that will suit a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical accounting and business partnering responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with completion of the month-end process, including preparation and review of profit and loss reports and variance analysis
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly reporting packs for senior stakeholders
- Partner with operational leaders across the business to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and audit processes
- Ensure tax compliance obligations for Australia and New Zealand are met
- Identify and implement process improvements and control enhancements
- Undertake ad hoc projects and provide support to the Finance Manager and Financial Controller
- Degree qualified in Accounting/Finance with CA/CPA completed or in progress
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong technical accounting and compliance skills
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP or Sun Systems advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across business functions
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive, adaptable and positive team player
